No Great Thing is Created Suddenly

With April’s weather being far from spring like, construction hasn’t stopped at the nature center. Masonry work is close to being finished and the drywall is up, creating what finally looks like actual rooms within the building; hiding wires and other electrical work throughout the center. Floors were poured the last week of April and painting will be underway by the first of May!

Ceilings, plumbing fixtures, and the elevator will be installed throughout this month. Millwork, trim, and other details being added within the nature center will also be in progress as the building nears completion.

Work on the pond, streamscape, and entrance bridge will also begin in May. Planning for landscaping and the placement of art sculptures is gearing up for when the site is ready.

Construction of the Outdoor Recreation and Wellness Center is coming along quite well! Walls have been built for the staff break room, bathrooms, and the camp store. New garage doors are also being installed that will allow more natural light to fill the building.
